Dental Assisting

Our Dental Assisting diploma program is designed to provide the dental profession with well-educated, highly skilled chairside assistants. Careers in the field of dental assisting are on the rise; according to the Department of Labor's Occupational Outlook Handbook, employment is expected to grow much faster than average for all dental assisting occupations through the year 2010. Ohio Institute of Health Careers offers career-focused training to prepare you for this growing field.

As a student in our dental assistant training program, you can learn clinical instruction in dental assisting with chairside and laboratory procedures, adjunctive patient care, infection control, dental office management, and patient education. Our radiology course also qualifies graduates to apply for a Dental Assisting Radiographer's Certificate through the Ohio State Dental Board.

Ohio Institute of Health Careers strives to provide a practical and well-rounded education to our Dental Assisting students.
